Where do we go from here?

Posted by Mike Clarke on

The ongoing question that I’ve asked myself hundreds of times, where do we go from here? What do I want to see from Injected Industry? What path will we take? I think we’ve finally got a rough path that we’d like to follow to get to the end goal.

Earlier this year, I laid the groundwork to start a foundation that parallels with i2, with the initial goal of raising funds to award a grant to a student working towards their automotive service technician certification. In a perfect world, I’d love for the grant to go to someone just starting their journey but ultimately, as long as it helps I’ll be happy.

Now I know money doesn’t just fall from the sky because you want to help others, but I sure wish it did! There’s a multitude of avenues we, as a company, would like to explore but for now I think our best option is to continue with the apparel brand and app development. I feel that if we continue with apparel it’ll help connect the community connect more as we are open to design ideas and I’d like to pick at least one a month and get it printed on shirts, hoodies, anything. For me, there is such a sense of pride being able to see our designs in my day-to-day life, knowing that every sale, every item helps the less fortunate.

Along with clothing, I’m dedicating part of my time to developing an app. This app will (hopefully) combine everything we, as enthusiasts, could want. I’d like to see an events portion, obviously a marketplace/offered services section, a content stream, a “discount drawer” where i2 users get monthly discounts from popular brands, ie: castrol, mobil1, mothers, bridgestone, etc. and most importantly, a section that showcases our volunteer work and how to get involved with it.

I know this is just the beginning and I can feel in my heart that we are going to do great things! I’m so excited that you’ve taken the time to read and follow along, you’re now part of the movement!

Till next time,
