Introduction; Injected Industry

Posted by Mike Clarke on

Welcome to Injected Industry! We are going to start writing blogs about everything automotive related, but first a little about us. My name is Mike Clarke, and I started Injected Industry in April 2019 with a goal of bringing the automotive community together.I’m excited to continue this journey, to connect people and showcase our passion to those less fortunate.

I am a lifelong enthusiast of every aspect of the automotive industry. From imports to dirtbikes, tractor-trailers to jet skis and absolutely everything in between. Anything with a motor seems to gather my full attention, I can’t help myself but to be drawn towards it. Myself, I drive a lifted Dodge one-ton Cummins daily but have had many projects throughout the years, and currently am starting on a tandem axle Peterbilt rollback tow truck. This Peterbilt has had my attention since I’ve started working at the family business, but am now finally going to start on it as I’ve put my 1979 f100 stepside on the backburner.

In my opinion, all these vehicles are art, and are all unique in their own way. At the basis, these pieces of metal, and plastic are amazing engineering accomplishments, which deserves much more recognition than they will ever get. It takes an entire team years to successfully build a vehicle, no matter what it is, and the emotion that gets put into these projects all too often gets swept under the rug. With any luck, we can go through some of the greater engineering accomplishments, highlight and recognize those who brought an idea from a sketch to the showroom floor. Crazy to think, that is just the beginning of life for one vehicle.

After its run through the factory, the continent-wide shipping, and pre delivery inspection, life begins for the automotive masterpiece. One of the most recurring thoughts that run through my mind is “I can’t believe someone brought this vehicle home one day and it was their pride and joy. The talk of the neighbourhood and the envy of complete strangers”. This is usually in relation to things made in the 60’s and older, but I still reminisce when my 1991 Peterbilt comes to mind.

It’s so much more than just the vehicles themselves, it's what can be created with them. You see countless videos made from sledding compilations, to all the motocross montages, and everything in between. The social media era has hosted exponential growth of automotive culture and its cult-like following, and I want to use that to bring like-minded people together through social media.

Stay tuned to see the big things we’ve got coming! It’s going to be a crazy ride and I hope everyone tags along!
